RemX is hiring an Entry-Level Claims Specialist for a growing team in Houston! Location: Houston, TX (in-office)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am- 5 pm
Pay: $20-$22/hr
The Claims Specialist serves as a key support member within the claims process. You’ll help keep claims moving by handling administrative tasks, preparing documentation, updating records, and supporting claim handlers with day-to-day activities. This position is hands-on, collaborative, and ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with clear processes.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned claims support tasks accurately and within established timelines.
- Enter claim information into internal systems and prepare required documentation.
- Provide administrative support to claim handlers, helping ensure efficient claim processing.
- Stay familiar with departmental procedures, workflow expectations, and service guidelines.
- Work well in a team environment while also handling independent responsibilities.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and assist with special projects when needed.
Requirements
- Strong computer skills, especially in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and processes.
- Clear communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume environment with changing priorities.
- Professional phone skills when communicating with claimants or customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred
