Job Opening: Certified Anesthesia Technologist

Part-Time Certified Anesthesia Technologist needed for Sat & Sun 7:00AM – 5:30PM. As a member of the anesthesia team, will assist providers with anesthesia plan of care and direct patient care for infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

· Setup and assist with non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, induction of anesthesia for general/regional & local anesthesia, fiberoptic intubation, provide cricoid pressure, insertion of routine & difficult venipuncture, positioning of patient for surgery, anesthesia blocks, and emergency C-sections in labor & deliver.

· Respond to Code Blue, Code Pink, etc.

· Assemble anesthesia airway set up, prepare machine for malignant hyperthermia & latex allergy when needed.

· Utilize sterile technique, set up and assist with placement of invasive monitoring equipment in routine and emergency situations.

· Assemble anesthesia equipment and supplies needed for general/regional/local anesthesia.

· Assist with patient preparation, electrode placement, use of ultrasound/nerve stimulator devices, and perform mechanical task of pressing syringe plunger, as directed by the anesthesia provider.

· Clean, sterilize and decontaminate all non-disposable anesthesia related items.

· Maintain inventory of disposable and non-disposable equipment.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Certified by ASATT as a Technologist

· IV Certification

· BLS

· ACLS

· 3 years of relevant anesthesia care experience
