Job Opening: Registered Nurse (Occupational Medicine)
Description
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide occupational health coverage. This is a low-volume role averaging 0-1 patient encounters per week; however, the RN must remain prepared to respond to workplace injuries, illnesses, or emergencies at any time.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational health services for employees and contractors.
- Assess, triage, and treat work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate additional care when needed.
- Administer first aid and maintain accurate medical documentation.
- Complete incident reports and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with site management, employees, and healthcare providers.
- Remain available and ready to provide care throughout the shift.
Requirements:
- Active Texas RN license.
- Current BLS certification (AHA not required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- ER, ICU, or Urgent Care experience.
- 2+ years of RN experience preferred; candidates with 1+ year of ER, UC, or other acute care experience will be considered.
Ideal Candidate: Independent, reliable, and comfortable working autonomously in an occupational health setting while remaining prepared to manage workplace injuries and emergencies.
