Job Opening: Insurance Verification / Benefit Authorization Specialists – Remote $17/hr

Leader pharmaceutical company is actively hiring for Insurance Specialists to work from home. You will verify insurance coverage, conduct benefit investigations, resolve reimbursement issues, and support patients, providers, and pharmacies through inbound/outbound calls, email, and fax. You will work with payers to confirm coverage, obtain prior authorization requirements, and facilitate the authorization process.

Location: REMOTE ***Must be located in a one of the following approved US states***

OHIO, ARKANSAS, FLORIDA, NEVADA , KANSAS, WEST VIRGINIA, TENNESSEE, GEORGIA, MISSOURI, LOUISIANA, OKLAHOMA, MISSISSIPPI, ALABAMA and TEXAS

Pay: $17/hr. Weekly Pay & Benefits

Hours: Mon–Fri, Any 8-Hour Shift Between 8 AM–9PM CST

Start Date: Early November 2026 No Time Off first 90 days

Type: temp with a possibility of perm.

Equipment: laptop, monitor and ethernet cable will be provided

Responsibilities:

• Calling outbound to Insurance companies to determine if the patient has coverage for the Pharmaceutical in the department.
• May take inbound calls depending on the department.
• Review and process prior authorization requests for medications, services, and procedures.
• Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and coverage with insurance carriers.
• Partner with physicians, pharmacies, and insurance companies to obtain required documentation.
• Ensure all requests are processed accurately and on time.
• Document all activities in the system for tracking and audits.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-year recent experience with medical insurance

• Solid working knowledge of insurance verification, benefit investigation or Prior Authorizations, Medical Claims, Insurance Reimbursement
• Proficiency in navigating multiple systems and Microsoft Suite (Excel and Outlook)
• Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities within operational guidelines
