  • Engage in vendor relations, problem solving, or other vendor related issues.
  • Adherence to compliance with audit, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute department mail, faxes, and interoffice envelopes.
  • Enter invoices and check requests into the A/P system.
  • Electronically line match invoices with the PO within the Supply Chain Management system using multiple databases.
  • Verify that invoice is coded and has proper approval(s) for entry into the A/P system.
  • Run Invoice Summary report for all invoices keyed daily.
  • Maintain 1099 information and assist A/P Manager in processing year end 1099 forms to vendors.
  • Maintain the A/P voice mail box; answer and resolve all vendor inquiries.
  • Research monthly vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate and obtain vendor credits.
  • Supplies any necessary copies or additional information to Covenant Health staff as requested for questions concerning invoices processed.
  • Audit data entry against the invoice report daily, verifying the correct vendor, invoice number, and amounts.
  • Ensure all employee reimbursements have been keyed accurately into the payroll system weekly.
  • Processes all check runs using the check run reconciliation spreadsheet for each facility weekly.
  • Match and route manual checks to the appropriate location weekly.
  • Use advanced Excel skills to reconcile statements, including using VLOOKUP, and prepare upload files.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping
  • Ability to work in a high-volume operations
  • Substantial experience with Excel, including VLookup

This role serves as the local operational and technical owner in Dallas, acting as the primary interface with our logistics partner while supporting configuration, kitting, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary local interface with the logistics partner, supporting daily warehouse performance and operational issue resolution

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team and support high-volume, high-visibility AP functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Major Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and code invoices with proper authorization; provide support to team members as needed.
  • Audit employee expense reports for accuracy and proper coding per the Travel & Expense Policy; enter approved reports into PeopleSoft for payment.
  • Reconcile the daily Property Tax Management System interface by comparing transactions to payments and invoice images received by Accounting Operations.
  • Review the $10K invoice queue for authorization, accuracy, and coding; identify and correct discrepancies to prevent improper payment.
  • Review $100K+ PeopleSoft payments for proper authorization, coding, and accuracy; take corrective action to prevent payment of incorrect invoices.
  • Provide backup support for high-dollar payment processing.

Technical Knowledge & Skill Set

  • Subject Matter Expert in PeopleSoft AP, CASS, and OpenText Imaging Systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate results from PeopleSoft queries and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access (moderate skill level or higher).

Work Experience & Education

  • Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent relevant experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience working with PeopleSoft AP systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Finance.
